About Us

In 2005, we started Fly-Fitters in the heart of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. This business was created from a passion for business as well as a passion for fly fishing. We started with a hand router and some blocks of wood expecting to create a “low cost quality wooden fly fishing box.” We quickly realized two things. We needed a computer aided router and the market had no demand for a “low cost quality wooden fly box.” We did find a something the fly fishing market needed. That something was a reasonably priced plastic fly fishing boxes in a vareity of sizes that would work as a fly box and a marketing tool for the shops selling the box. We were able to form a relationship with Rose Plastic and a foam manufacture and the business began to grow.

At first, we gave small fly shops the ablitity to offer their customers boxes with their logo in very small quanities which we still offer today. As our customer list grew, so has the size of our customers. For the past few years we manufactured private label boxes and packaging for Bass Pro Shop, Orvis and Eagle Claw.
